If you haven’t gotten started making your arrangements yet, consider this your official guide for preparing for a quinceañera!

One to two years before your quinceañera is when you want to establish a few key factors of your party. This includes establishing your budget, setting the date, booking the venue, arranging the priest or minister, booking caterers, choosing a theme, and more. As you’re well aware, planning a quinceañera takes a lot of time and energy to prepare for! Making sure you get these important factors figured out ahead of time will save you a headache.

Nine months before the quinceañera is when it’s time to go dress shopping! Typically, quinceañera dresses range anywhere from $800 - $3000. This is the time to settle on accessories, meeting ceremony officials, damas dresses, choreography, and such.

Six months prior to the quinceañera is when you’ll want to order party decorations, favors, and most importantly, make alterations to the dress if needed!

Once you’re three months out, it’s time to finalize your guest list, contact vendors, and finalize the dress. It should be practically complete at this point.

Two months out is when you’ll want to book hair and makeup, as well as prepare for any other factors like writing speeches for the actual event.

Once you’re down to a month away from the date, the dress should be completed! It’s a great time to organize formal photos to be taken of the young lady as well.
